Aberdeen is a city that is worth visiting, even if it can be cold and windy at times. Visitors often talk about the weather, but those who stay longer find interest in its history and friendly student environment. The city is easy to walk around, making it simple to meet new people, especially near the university. On the other hand, some may find the people less chatty and the Main Street has many chain stores. It could be better with more local shops. If you are on a budget, living costs are affordable, especially when compared to larger cities. There is a good bus service and a train to Edinburgh that offers nice views along the cliffs. For things to do, the old town and small cafes are nice for relaxing or working on your laptop. There is enough to keep you occupied for a few days, but most people think it is better for a short visit unless you have specific reasons to stay longer. So bring an umbrella and get ready to explore Aberdeen!
