While living costs can be high, many people feel that the experiences and quality of life make it worth it. Keep in mind that public transportation is not as available as in some larger cities, so having a car can help. As a solo woman it felt pretty safe here. From sightseeing to nightlife there are many things to do here. You need to go to hotel bars or restaurants to get the alcohol. Locals are really friendly, and almost everyone here speaks English.
