Amman is a city with many differences, mixing old traditions with new styles. Imagine busy streets where the smell of spices is strong, and people often gather together. Locals describe the culture as lively, with interesting music, tasty food, and special customs that make everyday life exciting. However, like any city, it has its problems. The cost of living can be high compared to the average salary, making it difficult for many residents. If you plan to live here, be aware that public transport is somewhat limited, so you will need to use taxis or Uber—just don't expect a perfect ride! Safety is usually okay, but women should dress modestly outside of clubs and bars since cultural rules can be strict. Areas like Abdoun are known for being nice, while Downtown has a more traditional feel with some modern shops. If you have some money to spend, there is a lot to see: from the famous Petra to the nice beaches of Aqaba, all within a day's trip. Just keep in mind that Amman's... traffic can be busy, so it's important to be patient!
