Baghdad is showing signs of change, becoming a bit more open and welcoming, especially for visitors. The city has a rich cultural scene and many places worth visiting. Be sure to check out the busy Al-Mansour district, where you’ll find modern malls and some good restaurants. The Iraqi Museum is a must-see, providing a look into the country’s interesting history, though remember it closes at 1 PM on weekdays (not Friday). While Baghdad is friendly, it's good to stay careful. It is suggested to explore the city with a companion for safety, especially since some locals still feel the effects of difficult times, which might show in their behavior. English is not spoken widely, so being patient with communication is important. Don't miss the busy atmosphere of Al-Mutanabi Street, a cultural spot, and if you are a business person, "The Station" offers a nice co-working space. From Sinbad Land amusement park to Al-Zawraa Park, there is fun to be had! Enjoy the local hospitality,... appreciate the sunny weather, and take some photos!

Baghdad may sound intimidating to those who don't know well, but I still would recommend this city. Compared to before, It’s getting better and more open. but if you’re a foreigner, especially a woman, it’s safer to go out with someone instead of being alone. It is quite culturally rich city. The malls in Al-Mansour are really nice, and the restaurants on the west side are worth trying.... Al-Mutanabi Street is amazing as well. it’s like stepping into the heart of the city’s vibe. The Iraqi Museum is also really cool (it’s cheap to visit, but make sure to go on a weekday since it’s closed Fridays). Not only the culture, but the people are super friendly and love to chat, even if their English isn’t great. Just keep things simple, and you’ll be fine. They love joking around, which is fun, but some might vent about life too. but it’s nothing personal, they’re just going through stuff. For fun, check out Sinbad Land or Al-Zawraa Park. If you’re into books and coffee, Ridha Alwan Café is such a cozy spot! And for work vibes, The Station is a cool place with a café and food corner. Overall, take it easy, enjoy the weather, chat with locals, and take lots of pics—it’s a one-of-a-kind experience!
