Belgrade is a city that has a lot to offer, with a lively atmosphere and many cultural activities, making it a good choice for travelers and digital workers. You will find many events, language exchanges, and good coworking spaces, like the ICT Hub, which is ideal for completing your work in an active environment. The food is cheap and tasty, especially if you try the vegan options or eat at Turkish and Greek restaurants. However, the city's charm has some issues. Many visitors say that the quality of apartments can be poor, and public transportation is not always good, often leading to frustrating traffic and limited options. Language can also be a problem, as not everyone speaks English well, which might affect your interactions with locals. Make sure to visit neighborhoods like Dorcol or the riverside nightlife, which, although popular, can seem exclusive and harder to enjoy as a solo traveler. If you want a short stay to experience Serbian culture and reasonable safety, Belgrade... could be a good choice! Just remember, many people recommend visiting other parts of the Balkans for a longer stay.
