Budapest is a city that may surprise you with its mix of nice features and some difficulties. The interesting buildings, especially along the Danube, provide great views with sites like the castle and the Parliament building. People talk about how easy it is to walk around, the active nightlife, and many affordable food choices – from small cafes to busy bars. However, it’s not all perfect. Some visitors find locals a bit distant or straightforward, which can seem unfriendly, especially in busy areas. If you are thinking about staying longer, you might want to check out the Buda side for a quieter, more local feel. While public transportation is usually good, the city can feel full, especially in summer. Don’t forget to visit the famous thermal baths and enjoy the cultural activities, which include classical music events and fun festivals. Just be ready for hot summer weather and some language challenges, as older people may not speak much English. In short, Budapest is a nice city...
