Cagliari is a nice city with a mix of culture and good views of the coast, but it has its oddities! Many visitors find it a bit difficult at first because of the language difference—most locals speak Italian, even if they know some English. But once you get into local life, you’ll enjoy the friendly vibe and sites like the old Castello district. Just a warning: if you like to relax in cafes, you might feel hurried here. It’s about ordering your coffee, enjoying it, and then leaving. Renting a place or a car can be expensive, especially in the busy summer months. Also, keep in mind that while you can buy cigarettes easily, you need a doctor's note to swim or go to the gym. Beach lovers should also be careful; sleeping on the beach is not allowed. Still, Cagliari has lively neighborhoods, good local food, and a relaxed feel that's hard to resist. Just be ready for some surprises along the way!
