Calgary is a city with many activities, especially for those who enjoy sports and being outdoors. The area is clean and offers many activities like hockey, motocross, and skydiving. Nearby mountains provide good chances for hiking, mountain biking, and winter sports like skiing and snowboarding at Canadian Olympic Park. If exciting activities are not what you enjoy, you might find Calgary a bit boring. The downtown area is recovering from a difficult economic time but is not as busy as other big cities. Many people here keep to themselves, and it can be hard to make friends, especially for new arrivals. The weather is also a factor—winters are long and cold, so be ready for that! Public transport needs improvement, so having a car can be helpful. The job market can be unstable, but families with good incomes may feel comfortable here. Just be ready for some cold days, but the nice scenery and outdoor life can make it worth it.
