Cambridge is a city that combines history with culture. You will see interesting buildings and rich history everywhere—great for a relaxing walk or a boat tour on the river, where you can see the well-known colleges. Many visitors enjoy summer days on Jesus Green, where you can relax or visit one of the longest outdoor pools in Europe. However, this busy city can become very crowded, especially in peak tourist season like July. While there are many good bars and restaurants, some people wish the nightlife was more active, as many places close early. You may find dining a bit expensive, and the food choices can vary in quality. Public transportation is good, but it’s best to enjoy walking here. While Cambridge is nice in summer, it can feel a bit limited in winter when the weather is wet. So, if you plan to visit, bring an umbrella and keep your plans flexible, and you will discover the interesting things this city has to offer!
