Dresden is a place that attracts visitors with its historic buildings and lively culture. It is known for its nice old structures, especially in the Altstadt, and walking through the city feels like going back in time. The public transport is dependable and makes traveling around easy, and many believe that rent is reasonable compared to other German cities, which is a good thing. However, it is good to know that Dresden has a quieter atmosphere, especially for those under 40. If you want lively nightlife, you should visit the bars and clubs in Neustadt, where there is more activity. For shopping, Prager Straße and Altmark-Galerie have a variety of modern shops and unique products. While the city is clean, some visitors notice a small number of younger people and fewer activities. Also, if you are flying in, keep your expectations low for the airport. It is a nice place for those who enjoy history and peace, but it might not be for everyone. Overall, it is a city full of character... waiting to be explored!
