Fukuoka is located in the south of Japan and offers a mix of city life and a relaxed atmosphere. It has a population of about 1.6 million people, making it busy but easy to enjoy. The city is known for its parks, which allow you to get away from the city without going too far. One great thing about Fukuoka is its food. You can find delicious ramen and coffee at local stands and small cafes (don't miss ManuCoffee). Many places also have a comfortable setting suitable for working or studying. The cost of living here is quite reasonable, especially compared to cities like Tokyo. However, be prepared for hot and humid summers and cold winters. Getting around the city is simple, with a subway that takes you to the airport in just 15 minutes. If you visit, Tenjin is the main area to explore with many shops and coworking spaces. It's also helpful to know some basic Japanese phrases, as you might encounter language barriers. Fukuoka could become a favorite place for you in Japan!

Fukuoka is compact, but it has all kinds of charms that people want to experience from any cities in Japan! Nice shopping street, great restaurants, and public transport is handy! (Even possible to look around the city by foot.) probably one minus comes from its suffocatingly hot and humid summer, I wouldn’t recommend this city to visit during the season.
