Hanoi is a city you will remember. It feels more like a big village than a busy city, which many people find nice. The food is great, with popular street dishes like pho and bun cha at very low prices. Don’t forget to visit the local cafes – try the egg coffee, it’s something you should experience! You will easily find WiFi and low living costs, but be ready for heavy traffic and not-so-good air quality. Cash is important here, so bring some money as many places do not take cards. The Old Quarter is a must-see with its lively feel, but watch your belongings. Areas like Tay Ho have a more friendly atmosphere for expats, while the beautiful West Lake is good for a quieter place. Not everyone speaks English well, but those who do are very friendly. Just be aware of the city’s habits—bars close early, which means the nightlife goes to different places! With its rich culture and history, Hanoi is a place waiting for you to explore.
