Malmö is a city that is located just across the bridge from Copenhagen, making it a good option for a day trip for those looking for a more affordable city experience. While it’s not the cheapest city in Europe, it does offer more budget-friendly choices than its Danish neighbor. The city is known for its diverse food scene—trying the different foods here is highly recommended! Whether you want a cozy cafe or a nice restaurant, there are many places to choose from. Also, cycling is a common way to get around, which makes it easy to see the city. Most visitors and locals feel safe during the day, but it's smart to be aware of your surroundings at night and to stay away from certain areas like Triangeln Station and Rosengård, which have higher crime rates. Theft, especially of bikes, can happen, so making sure to lock your bike securely is a good idea. Malmö has some drawbacks, but its special atmosphere, good food, and closeness to Copenhagen make it a city worth visiting!
