Milan is a city with both good and not-so-good aspects. On one hand, the Duomo is a must-see—it is impressive and attracts many visitors. This famous cathedral is an important part of the city. On the other hand, some people think it is not as charming as other Italian cities. The culture is strong, especially if you like fashion and design. Milan is an important center for both, and there are many nice shops and popular places. However, living costs can be high, and some travelers find it expensive. Public transport is okay, but it might not take you to all the less-known places you want to see. Also, be ready for some language difficulties; not everyone speaks English well. If you choose to visit, look at the neighborhoods by the canals for a more local feeling. Just be careful when walking around at night—some areas might not feel safe. Overall, it is worth visiting for the Duomo, but keep your expectations realistic.

The DUOMO in the center is really beautiful and definitely the main highlight, but apart from that, I didn’t find much that would make me want to go back. For the shoppers it can be attracting, but other than that I am not so sure.
