New York City is full of energy and excitement. Whether you are walking through the Upper East Side with its well-known Museum Mile or checking out the lively areas of Harlem and Brooklyn, you will find a neighborhood that connects with you. This city can be expensive; an average one-bedroom apartment can cost much more than just your coffee! Dinner and drinks can easily reach $200, so plan your budget carefully. The public transportation system works well, but be prepared for some old-looking subway stations—they need some updates! However, you do not need a car! The subway, buses, and even Uber can help you get around. Just be careful in tourist areas, where pickpocketing can happen. New Yorkers take pride in their city, which may inspire you to pursue your dreams. Additionally, summer brings free concerts and the special experience of Coney Island. While you may find some unfriendly service, the city’s wide range of food options is great for your taste. So, enjoy some pizza and... everything New York has to offer!

Who doesn't know New York City? It's super famous and has a lot to offer, but it’s not all sunshine and rainbows IMO. First off, the cost of living is really high, which can make it tough for travelers and nomads. There’s so much to see and do, but remember that most of it comes with a price tag. It can feel a bit overwhelming, especially in places like Manhattan, which is very business-focused... and full of serious people. Plus, the weather can be rough, especially from July to August and January to March/April. The friendliness of people varies a lot. It often depends on where you are in the city and the background of the people you meet. Customer service can be hit or miss, and sometimes it feels unhelpful or unfriendly. On a brighter note, the food scene is amazing but can be pricey, although you can find cheap pizza slices if you're looking. The public transportation system is good, so you won’t need a car, but be prepared for crowded subway cars during rush hour, and you might notice that many stations could use a makeover. Safety-wise, it’s pretty okay, but tourist areas do see more street scams. Pick-pocketing and other petty crimes are not a big worry for most locals. Just a heads up, living here can be noisy, especially with construction that can wake you up early in the morning. But still, NYC is a city full of life, but it comes with its challenges too.
