Szczecin may not be the largest city in Poland, but it has its own appeal and a special atmosphere that many enjoy. Located near the German border, it’s a good starting point for trips to Berlin and the sea, making it nice for weekend trips. The city is known for being affordable, with a good public transport system and services like Uber that make getting around easy. When you are out, you'll find Szczecin to be clean and mostly safe, with nice parks and interesting sites. However, keep in mind that the nightlife can be a bit quiet during the week, and weekends are often calm – there are only a few popular places like Deptak Bogusława and Bulwary, where you might find some local activity. While many people speak English, you might notice that the city does not have a large foreign community, which can feel lonely. For remote workers, options are few; there are only a couple of co-working spaces. Overall, Szczecin is a nice place to explore and relax, but it might not have the busy... atmosphere that some travelers want!
