Taipei is a special place in Asia, combining a rich culture with a relaxed atmosphere that attracts visitors. The city is very clean and safe, similar to Tokyo but with a slower pace. People are friendly, and many speak basic English, which helps with communication. The cost of living is quite affordable, and you can enjoy tasty street food for just a few dollars. There are 7-Eleven stores everywhere, making it easy to buy snacks and drinks. One of the best things about the city is its transportation system; the MRT makes it easy to get around, so you can visit night markets and quiet parks. However, don’t expect a busy nightlife like in other big cities; Taipei's appeal is in its calmness. Some people think the food is a bit plain, and the weather can be gloomy, especially during the rainy season. If you don’t speak Mandarin, you might feel a bit lost at times, but that’s part of the experience. When you visit, make sure to check out areas like Da'an for nice cafes and unique... shops. If you go to Taipei, enjoy its relaxed feel and explore the mix of cultures—you might find a new favorite place in Asia.

Based on my 2 weeks stay Taipei felt safe and modern. Public transportation is convenient and works well. Food was affordable. The New Year's fireworks are a bit overrated as it gets very crowded, and the visibility can be very bad. I definitely recommend to try out the Taipei Zoo if you happen to visit here.
